Are you a videographer who wants to help capture the stories and people behind conservation organizations? Do you have a passion for bringing conservation tech to the world? Would you like to help spread the word about #conservationoptimism and the Key Conservation app?

Key Conservation is looking for a videographer intern who will work closely with the team to help showcase the ongoing development of the app, the conservation organizations that are Pilot Projects and build momentum as we lead up to the app launch.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the team to find stories to feature on our social media platforms that help to demonstrate how the app works along with our goals and objectives

  • Coordinate with partners and team on what is needed for creating the video content

  • In charge of transport, set up and operation of equipment during video shoots

  • Explore different ways to expand our social media presence and to reach new audiences through monthly video content

  • Work closely with the development team to promote Key Conservation development milestones

  • Help document the work being done behind the scenes at Key Conservation HQ and in the field for a potential web series building up to the launch of the app

  • Showcase how our Pilot Projects and Beta Testers are testing the app in the field

  • Potential to help create a launch promotional video

SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school degree required

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Proficient with common social media platforms

  • Must have your own camera equipment

  • Experience with crafting video content and promotional stories a must

  • Able to take initiative and lay out a clear direction for shoots to maximize efficiency

  • Must be a driven self-starter and able to prioritize tasks well

  • Passion and optimism for the natural world a must, experience in the conservation field a plus but not required

  • Able to work in a fast-paced startup environment and be willing to be flexible

  • Must be able to work as part of a team

  • Have own transportation and be able to travel to project sites

LENGTH AND COMPENSATION:

  • Hours and length: 3 months part-time (15-20 hours) per week. Schedule is flexible

  • This is an unpaid internship

  • Willing to provide internship credit if applicable
